After years of talking with parents and youth...

 I Noticed Something

Many people in the LGBTQIA+ community are experiencing separation, estrangement, and rejection by their families, friends and communities. They want to be seen heard and understood and in the absence of this, depression, anxiety, substance overuse and suicidal ideation increase. Parents are feeling unsure of what to say to their teen or young adult and although they want to be supportive and connected.

Why?

Parents feel unprepared due to lack of understanding, conflicting personal beliefs and intense feelings that get in the way of compassionate connection. They feel anxious about what they cannot control as they watch their young adult change.

They fear saying the "wrong thing"

There are many ways to talk with your young adult while compassionately connecting with them.

This Is What I'm Here To Teach You

It’s time to feel empowered. It’s time to understand the LGBTQIA+ culture your adult child is a part of, and it’s time to understand how to support them with the risks they may face on a daily basis. The time is now to reconnect with your young adult in meaningful ways.  Join me on this life-changing journey of exploration, understanding, and compassionate connection.
